weeks ending January 26, February 02, and 09, 2019 in that order in thousand 
hundredweight (cwt) or 100,000 pound units. Expected movement is for 
the period February 10-23, 2019. Prices are for Monday, February 11, 2019 
compared to Monday, February 04, 2019. Unless otherwise stated, sales are F.O.B. 
Shipping Point Basis (including Delivered Sales, F.O.B. Shipping Point Basis) 
or port of entry and extra services are included. Prices represent open (spot) 
market sales by first handlers on product of generally good quality and condition 
unless otherwise stated and may include promotional allowances or other incentives. 
No consideration is given to after-sale adjustments unless otherwise stated. 
Brokerage fees paid by shipper are included in the price reported.

   UNITED STATES---Shipments (including imports)1131*-996*-930---The top 
shipping areas for the week, in order, were Columbia Basin Washington, Idaho 
and Malheur County Oregon, Peru, New York and Utah. The Market News Service 
survey of over 30,000 retail stores had 19,663 ads for onions last week, 
which is a 5 percent increase from last weeks ads of 18,571. *revised.
   COLUMBIA BASIN WASHINGTON AND UMATILLA BASIN OREGON ---Shipments 
416-416-368 (includes exports of 86-108-87)---Movement expected to remain 
about the same. Trading moderate. Prices Too few open market sales to 
establish a market. Most sheds were closed (February 11) due to severe 
weather conditions.
   IDAHO AND MALHEUR COUNTY OREGON---Shipments 384-316*-324---Movement 
expected to remain about the same. Trading moderate. Prices Yellow super 
colossal, colossal and jumbo lower, others generally unchanged. Yellow 
Spanish Hybrid U.S. One 50-pound sacks super colossal 8.00-8.50, colossal 
7.50-8.00, jumbo 7.00-7.50, medium mostly 7.50; White 50-pound sacks jumbo 
30.00, medium 30.00; Red Globe Type U.S. One 25-pound sacks jumbo mostly

   NEW YORK---Shipments 52-39-41---Movement expected to continue seasonal

11.00-13.00. Several growers have finished for the season. Quality and 
size variable.

the same. Trading moderate. Prices generally unchanged. Yellow Globe Type

   CENTRAL CALIFORNIA COAST---Shipments 11-9-9---Movement expected to remain 
about the same. Supplies in too few hands to establish a market. 
   SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA DISTRICT---Shipments 9-10-6---Movement expected to 
remain about the same.  Supplies in too few hands to establish a market.
   NORTH AND EAST POINTS COLORADO---24-20-3---Movement expected to decrease

   WESTERN SLOPE COLORADO---Shipments 2-2-2---Movement expected to decrease

   MEXICAN CROSSINGS THROUGH SOUTH TEXAS---Crossings-0-0-0---Movement 
expected to increase as more shippers begin to harvest. Current supplies 
insufficient to establish market. Expected F.O.B. to be issued on Tuesday,

Market News Service survey of over 30,000 retail stores had 23,870 ads for 
potatoes last week, which is a 35 percent increase from last weeks ads of 
17,561. *revised.

According to the February 1, 2019 Potato Stocks released by Agriculture 
and Agri-Food Canada, New Brunswick?s holdings of 8.7 million cwt. 
decreased by 10.64% from one year earlier (9.8 million cwt.).  Intended 
utilization of stocks: .9 million cwt. fresh, 6.1 million cwt. processing, 
and 1.6 million cwt. seed.  Total Canadian stocks of 5.69 million cwt. are 
down nearly 9% from one year earlier (62.5 million cwt.).
